Urban front (Trumpington) / Colour and movement
Shared by two neighbours on a new development, this small rectangle of front garden had been filled with dead or nondescript shrubs before the clients decided something more lively was in order! Seen here in autumn, despite its diminutive size the bed is filled with colour and movement from the beginning of spring, and has a good evergreen backbone for winter interest. It includes plenty of interest for pollinators and a hidden logpile for invertebrates. The clients have enjoyed seeing the garden visited by birds and insects - as well as some appreciative comments from passers by.
